Q: Is there a
maximum entry limit?
A: Yes, we are accepting the first 1,200 applications
Q: Are there any
requirement to being accepted?
A: Yes. You must be 15 years or older. Also Tinman Unlimited
will review all applications and reserve the right to reject any
application

military and elite divisions?
A: Yes. click here to view our

Q: Are fees refundable
if I decide not to do the race?
A: No, all fees are non-refundable. Except in the event that the 1,200
application limit has been reached
Q: I've already
paid, can I sell or transfer my application?
A: No, if there are any applications sold or transferred, the athlete
posessing the valid number will be disqualified and you will not be accepted
in future Tinman Hawaii Triathlons
Q: What does my
entry fee include?
A: you will receive entry for the event, a tank-top shirt and an award
that will be distributed after the race
Q: Can I get a
Finisher T-Shirt?
A: Yes, for an additional $15. You will need to indicate your
size and include the fees with your entry fee. Finisher T-shirts can be picked
up after the completion of the race
Q: Is there a
deadline to send in my entry fee? What will the fees be after the
deadline?
A: Yes, the deadline is posted on the
Information page.
Q: When will I
receive acceptance from Tinman Unlimited?
A: Your cancelled check will serve as confirmation of acceptance.
Tinman Unlimited will mail Notification of Official Acceptance by June
4th. If your check does not clear your bank and/or you do not receive
your Official Acceptance after June 4th, please
contact us as soon as possible
Q: Can I receive
my confirmation earlier?
A: Yes. By sending a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope with your entry
form
Q: Can I reserve
a transistion area prior to race day?
A: No. Tinman Hawaii Triathlon is based on first come first served.
If you want a good spot, show up early.
Q: Will there
be aid stations and am I allowed to have my own support team?
A: There will be official aid stations throughout the race course.
Individual support teams will not be allowed.
Q: I noticed that
there are shallow points during the swim, will I be able to walk if I am
in the shallow area?
A: No. Everyone is expected to swim 800 meters. Anyone that is caught
walking by a Race Official will be immediately disqualified without warning.
If you can not swim 800 meters, please do not enter the race.
Q: Will I be allowed
to draft behind a competitor or cars?
A: No. Any athlete caught drafting by a Race Official will be immediately
disqualified without warning.
Q: Will I be able to view the
results of the current Tinman Hawaii Triathlon?
A: Yes. Tinman Unlimited and our Webmaster will be updating
the results page following the race.
